Job Summary :
Public relations (PR) is about managing reputation. A career in PR involves gaining understanding and support for your company, as well as trying to influence opinion and behavior. You’ll use all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of your company. These range from public bodies or services, to businesses and voluntary organizations. You’ll communicate key messages, often using third party endorsements, to defined target audiences in order to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between an organization and its public. As a PR officer, you’ll monitor publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of your organization’s stakeholders. You’ll then report and explain the findings to its management.
· Primary Responsibilities :
o Planning, Developing and implementing PR Strategies
o Communicating with colleagues and key spokespeople on the industry and affiliates
o Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email or face-to-face
o Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
o Collating and analyzing media coverage
o Writing and editing in-house case studies, speeches, article and reports
o Preparing and supervising the production of publicity, design, printed media, email blast, video, photographs, and others.
o Organizing events including press conference, media,community, VVIP / VIP gathering or tours.
o Maintaining and updating information on the organization’s website and social media
o Sourcing and managing potential partnership opportunities with other related bussines
o Manage media inquiries and interview request
o Managing & maintaining PR aspect of a potential crisis situation
· Background :
o Proven working experience in public relations required
o Proven track record designing and executing successful public relation campaign
o Strong relationship with both people and company within the industry
o Degree in marketing,advertising,communication or related discipline
· Skills :
o Strong writing and editing skills
o Solid experience with social media PR strategy and implementation
o posses expert planning, managing and coordinating skills
o Charisma, positive tone for effective communication to public and media
o creative enough to come up with interesting ideas regularly
o be good listeners and interpreters to transform the public thoughts and align it to corporate goals and parameters.
o Expert at planning budgets, negotiating and communicating with media partner.
o Should be goal oriented and should strive to complete the assigned project on time
o Multi-tasker
o Ability to use inititative
o Reliable/good at hitting deadlines
o Ability to handle stress and work extra hours if necessary
o Dynamic, confident, outgoing and articulate
